It’s the new kitchen tool that’s taken the world by storm, and which might be standing on your kitchen counter right now: the humble air fryer. If you do have an air fryer, you’ve likely done all of the usual delicious meals, but did you know you can prepare eggs in an air fryer?

How to Prepare Eggs in an air fryer

With an air fryer, you can prepare boiled eggs, omelettes as well as fried eggs. Here’s how:

Boiled eggs in an air fryer

You can prepare both hard- and soft-boiled eggs in an air fryer. Preheat the air fryer to around 130 degrees Celcius, and add your eggs, as simple as that! You can change the cooking time, based on the desired final egg. For soft-boiled eggs, cook for around 10 minutes, for hard-boiled eggs, cook for 15 minutes. One added advantage of air fryer eggs? They are quick and easy to peel!

Fried eggs

Air-fried eggs, that is. For fried eggs, crack an egg (or eggs) into an oiled baking pan that fits in your air fryer, and cook at 180 degrees Celcius for 3-4 minutes, before seasoning. With the air fryer method, one has the added advantage of avoiding the extra oil usually associated with fried eggs.

Omelettes in an Air Fryer

Omelettes in an air fryer are much easier than most people think! To prepare, preheat the air fryer to 180 degrees Celcius, whisk a few eggs together and dice any veggies you would like to add to your omelette. Add the egg mixture to an oiled cake pan, and top with your selected toppings, before placing it in the air fryer for 8 to 10 minutes. Enjoy!
